let the 15ks and fissure be unlocked thru purchase in pvp or thru faction

dyes should be a multi purchase, one dye for each piece you want to dye

the faction req is to low for the fissure tho, it costs alot more than 30k worth of faction. you can get 30k alot faster than it takes to get 1.6million, imo

im for this because i have a ranger with 15ks druids, and i really like to play rangers, but the fact of the matter is leveling a ranger is crap, and then paying for skills and skill caps just makes it less apealing. so builds that i'd like to do but dont have the skills for, i make a pvp ranger and unlock the skills using faction. however i dont get to get my druids set, so i opt for lower energy =P but yea anyway i'd like it to be unlockable thru pve purchase or faction

I do wanna see skins being unlockable but not thro faction
I think that let's say you buy a 15k/fow armor piece for let's say, necro, only than you will be able to unlock that piece to pvp BUT to all types of armor for that class(for a nice 2k faction per piece maybe)
example: I buy an elementalist 15k geo chest piece, than I have an option to buy 15k geo, aero, hydro and pyro chest pieces thro paying 2k faction for each one.

for weapons I dunno, but if I do get a crystaline sword drop, I want to be able to play it as a pvp skin-I EARNED IT, but everybody will get a plain fellblade or chaos axe sometimes, and that's not enough in my opinion to earn it as a skin

no objection on dye unlocking thro faction

my take

I got this idea off poofighter's post:
If we purchase a vanity armor, we unlock it in PvP. However, only the piece[s] you purchase is[are] unlocked, and only for the profession you unlocked it for.

EDIT: Being able to get dye through faction would disturb the economy. Plus, it would break the mold that nothing you can get with faction can translate into gold.

No.

At least not until we PVE players are no longer dependent on PVP to have 'favor' to do all of our quests.

well since you guys refuse to search here is the link http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=51778

but it doesn't much matter now soooo....

to Slade I really don't care that people don't like my idea, different views keep the world going, but what I don't get is that the best way to get rid of this idea is to ignore it if you don't like it, not by bumping it up constantly with no's.

to Sir Santiago, sorry I did not know the 5 word rule, perhaps I should have made a format like the rp district petition.

Once again to Slade's other post...I believe I mentioned unlocking 15k/FoW through pve purchase too...that way there is no regret to delete a character that you payed for the armor..its always available in pvp if you want to go back that way...

On to the topic of ruining the dye economy
1.) it is impossible to ruin, as it is pretty much fixed now.
2.) what I suggested was to make it a one time unlock, you buy it with faction and then it appears on the character customization page alongside the other dyes when making your pvp character.

..and now to the rest of you..I love the way this community gets great joy out of trying to stomp on something that wouldn't really affect them. All you pve only people, what does it matter if pvp characters can have fancy armor too? PvP characters can't even go into anytowns, therefore you never see them, therefore you still stay special as the person with fancy armor in any town/mission/outpost/etc. Lastly the faction prices are high enough that very few would waste time and faction on them, because a true pvp person would just buy skills, runes, and weapon upgrades with faction... this would really only be something for those who have everything unlocked already, and those seem somewhat few and far between. Also please come up with lies if you are going to continue to use such absurd and appalling reasons as
PHP Code:
i hate the eletists that only play pvp ! )
To try to cause an end to something that doesn't even affect you for reasons such as "i hate you eletists[sic]" gives me great concern as to the longevity of this community.
This is a PvP game, don't forget that.

Why? Because vanity armor is for the PvE players. If you want vanity armor, you're going to play PvE, and you're going to like it. It requires farming for gold...if you don't like it then too bad so sad. PvE people have worked hard to get whatever 15k armor they've purchased, even more so for the proud owners of FoW armor. And PvP? You could fight for 2 days in the COMPETITION arenas and unlock vanity armors(seeing as faction caps out at 10k) so why is it fair that you hardly put work into something like vanity armor, which is suppose to be hard to get, but PvE players have to spend perhaps weeks getting enough gold and materials to make a suit?

To malachi, yes, this game has PvP in it. But it's not focused around it. There's a full RPG side to it, and as per items go, vanity armor is the only thing of value that PvP people can't get. For a reason. Just like people who play PvE never get to use the /rank command. Vanity armor is for PvE, get over it. The community isn't going to crash because someone said "i hate the eletists that only play pvp!" communities crash because the game sucks, not because of the people in it. Going by your logic, WoW should be hated by all everywhere.

Default and how does this benefit pvp?

/no way

why would a pvp player 'need' vanities to play pvp ... vanities are rewards to those who struggle through the role play environment ... as RANK is a vanity to the pvp environment. I wont open a can of worms ... but I believe it has nothing to do with pvp.

EDIT ... and malachi ... your estimation should more or less boil down to cost ...

15K armor should be about 20K faction per piece ...
FOW armor should be ... ohhh somewhere in the range of 125K-200K faction per piece ... this armor actually cost near 800K, very unreacheable and strictly a luxury

its near impossible for casual pve players to achieve such heights. so why make it sooooo easy for pvp? I personally have farmed since release, been in betas and made hundreds of thousands of dollars and never could attain FoW armor because there are too many money sinks. Just an afterthought when seeing the ridiculously low prices

Is that clear enough for you?

Sorry, When the game launched, the only way to unlock items for PvP was through PvE... then came the Priests and Faction...

Now you want the only items that PvE has for itself?

NO... play PvE and actually EARN a set of Fissure armor... then take that Fissure armor clad PvE guy into the arenas.
